Paperwork and Funds

Wow, it has taken a month or so to get all my paperwork to NICS and forwarded to Kenya. There was a lot more paperwork than just a 2 week mission trip, since it is a new job as well. There were issues with my teaching certificate, since any copying or faxing brings up the word VOID from the special tamper resistant paper. No surprise the officials in Kenya wouldn't accept it, but I think it is all worked out. But God worked it all out, despite the obstacles.

Now I have to start fundraising as my small salary in Kenya won't cover all the expenses I will have. The first expense being airfare, which is a lot more expensive than airfare to Russia. I won't have to raise as much funds as most missionaries since I will have a salary, but it isn't enough to cover everything.

I think I found a shipping company to ship my few boxes to Kenya, since there is no way I can fit everything in two suitcases.
